New Hampshire DWI Case Example: At midnight on the Fourth of July, 2010, a citizen and his wife were stopped for what the cop alleged was a “plate light out”.  Curiously, the car had passed an inspection with a working plate light hours before.  Miraculously, the plate light also worked a few hours later when the citizen received his car from the towing company. 

After the stop, the citizen was subjected to the 3-part acrobatic gauntlet known as “field sobriety tests: a “follow-the-pen” test, a walk-and-turn test and a one leg stand test.  The arresting officer described the driver’s balance as poor and the odor of alcohol as “obvious”.  Like most drivers, he scored “6 points out of 6” on the magic pen test.  Then he scored “4 out of 8 clues” on the “nine step walk and turn test”.  He managed to hold his leg in the air for 30 seconds on the “one leg stand test.  The cop arrested him any way for DWI.  This citizen declined the arresting officer’s invitation to incriminate himself after his arrest with any further testing.  This citizen hired New Hampshire DWI lawyer Mark Stevens to defend him at trial.  After a trial in the District Court, this driver was found NOT GUILTY of DWI.

Note-this is one example of a recent New Hampshire DWI case victory. It is by no means a guarantee of any particular result in any other case.
